| Synopsis | Eero Ettala - professor of rail sliding. This guy has majored with top class honours in freestyle riding. Day-in-day-out through Finland's dark, bleak winters, he thinks about new ways to ride his snowboard. This takes him the length and breadth of this frozen land, riding and filming through the night, sometimes never seeing sun-light for months. This also brings him into contact with authority and with the establishment. Sometimes this is harmonious, sometimes it isn't. Our episode on Eero examines how these interactions works; the lengths he has to go to, to get his film-part. The huge efforts of Eero and the film crew - the successes and the failures. The highs and the lows. The confrontation and the accord. |
